A new contest will be added for all members beginning on January 1, 2024.  I want to explain to all members as to how this contest will work for the membership and the rules of contest.

1.  This contest is open to all members of Hoosier Racing and Only Stayers residencies.  All entries MUST be in a stable that represents Hoosier Racing or Only Stayers.  Horses you have representing other residencies are not eligible at any time in our residency sponsored races.

2. Points will be given to a member that have horses running in membership races.  If your horse places you will receive: 1st place=3 points; 2nd place=2 points; 3rd place=1 point.

3. Point totals will be tallied on June 30 and on December 31 of 2024.  Those with the most residency racing points at that time will receive 300 FREE credits from Hoosier Racing residency.  In the event of a tie, the credits will be split with the high scoring winners.  This will be a running total and scores/points will be ongoing until the end of the year.  Totals will not be reset on June 30, 2024

4. Please make sure and read all rules of contest in the Upcoming Races tab where races and passwords for the races are listed.  Some races may contain restrictions.  If your entry is not in compliance with the rules of contest your horse will be DQ from receiving points from that race.

5.  I will keep a running tab of all members and their points accumulated.  Thus, you will be able to see your point totals and how you are doing in the membership standings.  You will find these totals posted at the right side of this page.

6.  Be looking for upcoming races after the first of the year.  They will vary and we will be having races in various locations and for various age groups, not just 2 year olds.  I strongly encourage all members to check the website frequently.  Due to increase in membership, it is getting harder to send out personal messages to each member in the residency.  I will PM updates each month unless something special pops up.  Please keep your PM Inboxes clear.

7.  I would welcome donations from the membership as added prizes for races throughout the year, but this is certainly NOT required.  Donations could be in the form of sending credits or a horse to be used for sponsored membership races.  Donations are strictly voluntary!

The 2 year old Challenge Contest 2023

Hoosier Racing is going to have another new Contest for 2021.  This contest will only apply to new 2 year old foals for the 2021 season.  This contest will be open to all foals bred and representing Hoosier Racing or Only Stayers stables.  This contest is to encourage the breeding of quality horses and management of your new 2 year old horses in 2023.  The goal is also to see some quality horses that participate and are of good enough quality to win Graded races.

Award for a 2 year old Graded win:  G1=200 credits, G2=150 credits, G3=100 credits.

If one of your 2 year old horses wins a Graded race you need to contact me by Private Message or Email and tell me the name of your horse and the date of the win.  Once confirmed you will be forward the bonus credits for this contest.  YOU MUST INFORM ME OF YOUR WINNER!  I will not be checking all members results each week and thus this will be your responsibility.  I also request that you inform me immediately or ASAP of your winner.  If you fail to report your win within 2 weeks of winning the race you forfeit the Award bonus for this contest on that race.

I would really like to see some big winners out of our members this season with their 2 year olds and I would like to see them win some big races this 2021 season and go on to win some bigger races during their 3 year old season.  Please research your breedings and let's see some big winners from the Hoosier Racing membership.  I am running this contest not only for the members, but to also encourage myself to do better this year than I have done in seasons past.  FYI:  If your winning horse was gifted to you, that horse is also still eligible in this contest.
